The Percy 51³Ô¹Ï 70th Birthday Ball
We recently celebrated our 70th birthday with a glamourous 70th Birthday Ball, attended by hundreds of supporters, donors, and volunteers. The evening was a celebration of the Foundation's achievements over the past seven decades and a tribute to the ongoing work that we do to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
The Percy 51³Ô¹Ï 70th Birthday Ball was a memorable evening held at Hilton Newcastle Gateshead. As a fundraising event, it aimed to raise awareness and funds for the Percy 51³Ô¹Ï Foundation’s important work in supporting people with disabilities. The theme of the event was “a splash of purple,” and the room was filled with purple, while guests were dressed to impress in elegant purple and green attire, or with “splashes” of purple with jewellery and accessories.
The evening had a variety of entertainment, including a bingo bonanza game, a comedy act by ex Percy 51³Ô¹Ï School student and Britains Got Talent 2018 winner; Lost Voice Guy, and a live performance by the popular local band Hip Operation. The Percy 51³Ô¹Ï 70th Birthday Ball was a wonderful celebration of the Foundation’s achievements over the last 70 years and a reminder of the importance of continuing to support their essential work in the heart of the North East community.
We’d love to say a huge thank you to our sponsors for the evening.

For over 15 years The Percy 51³Ô¹Ï Ball has been one of the region’s most popular and enduring charity balls, attracting over 300 guests each year. Since it began the ball has raised just over £1million to support disabled children, young people, and adults across the North East.
