On The News

Percy 51勛圖 School students were featured on BBC Look North yesterday (Thursday 4th).

They were filmed following their work assisting with a new Kittiwake tower installed on the river Tyne at Gateshead. They’ve been helping to create artificial nests and decoy chicks, all in the hope of attracting Kittiwakes, and yesterday they got to see their work in action.

In other news:

This week a team of staff were trained by ReboundTherapy.org to become trainers themselves. This means we can provide in house training to staff which will allow even more pupils to access Rebound Therapy. Rebound Therapy uses the trampoline to provide opportunities for movement, therapeutic exercise, and recreation for people across virtually the whole spectrum of additional needs. We use our Rebound Therapy sessions to provide cognitive challenge, develop communication skills, promote independence, aid wellbeing, and improve gross motor skills. The therapeutic effect of the trampoline has many benefits on our bodies too, but above all, it is really fun!

Online Safety:

The link to the Online safety information can be found on the school website under the heading Parent and carers area, then online safety from the dropdown menu.

This weeks Online Safety Blog is a guide for parents and guardians surrounding radicalisation. In our digital age, the internet is an incredibly valuable resource for learning and connecting. However, we must remember that it also has its dangers, especially for our young children. One of the most serious concerns today is the risk of radicalisation. As parents, you play a crucial role in safeguarding your children from these online threats. This blog post aims to provide you with the knowledge and tools to help keep your children safe.
